This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we process and why.

What this app is

SuperCheck.in is a location-based community platform built around Supercharger check-ins. You control what you share and with whom (private, friends-only, or public).

Core nature of the service

What data we process

Depending on your usage, we may process:

• Account data: email, username, profile details
• Authentication data: login and OAuth identifiers (e.g. Google sign-in)
• Check-in data: charger identification and timestamp, badges, and related activity
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser info, and server logs

We do not store precise GPS coordinates. Check-ins are stored as charger identification + timestamp.

Friends and visibility

Your data is private by default unless you choose to share it. If you accept friendship requests, friends may see more of your data than non-friends. Sharing controls will continue to evolve as the platform grows.

Optional public sharing

Some features allow you to voluntarily share check-ins publicly (for example to X/Twitter). This only happens if you actively choose to use such features.

Why we process your data

• Provide platform features (check-ins, stats, badges, friends)
• Keep the platform secure and reliable
• Communicate platform-related updates
• Debug and monitor performance

Legal basis (GDPR)

• Performance of a contract (to provide the service you request)
• Consent (optional sharing actions, browser/device permissions)
• Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, stability)

Emails

We send only platform news and relevant event updates. If you do not want to receive these emails, you can delete your account.

Third-party processors

We never sell your personal data. We use the following services:

• Heroku (hosting)
• PostgreSQL (database)
• Papertrail (logging)
• Mailgun (emails)
• Google Maps (map functionality)
• X/Twitter (only if you voluntarily share)

Security

SuperCheck.in is a one-person project. We use modern frameworks and take reasonable steps to keep the software up to date and protect personal data. No service can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also lodge a complaint with your Data Protection Authority (Belgium: GBA/APD).

Account deletion and data export

You can delete your account and export your data directly within the application.

Age requirement

SuperCheck.in is intended for drivers using the Supercharger network. By creating an account, you confirm you are of legal age to drive. The service is not intended for children.

Platform transfer

We will never resell your personal data. However, we may transfer the platform as part of a sale, merger, or acquisition. In that case, your data will remain protected under this Privacy Notice or an equivalent standard.
